About the artist: Anna Gedson is an Opotiki-based (Bay of Plenty) artist, who works from her home studio. Deeply inspired by her Māori heritage, Gedson enjoys the process of working with her hands and endeavours to give each of her sculptural works a unique and contemporary appearance.
Nurturing her artistic passions, Gedson went on to complete a Diploma in Textile Design in Wellington. She enjoys working with a combination of materials (flax, feathers & metal) to achieve her visual sculptures.
