Shane Walker’s work is influenced by New Zealand’s idyllic scenery and world famous beaches so it isn’t surprising that a transformer is seen as a fish tank to house our beautiful rainbow trout.

If you detour a little further west, on the same side of the road, you will encounter another of his fishy works.  This time our ancient native eels wend their way around the transformer boxes.

About the artist: A Waihi Beach boy, who is self-taught, and been freelancing in the realms of realism, portraiture, Kiwiana and mural art since he set his sights on becoming a full time artist in 2014.
